Thanks you for the all the nice comments about my grandbaby. He was born January 17th. I was at the Mark Leader seminar I have been attending, needless to say, I didn't get much out of that session! I live in Kansas City and my daughter and son in law live in Fresno, CA so it was hard not to be there. I flew out and spent a week with them, it was soooooo hard to leave. I now am more motivated to build my business, the more houses I sell, the more often I can visit them!

I've been out of the loop for a while. 4 weeks ago I started a Mark Leader training program offered by Reece and Nichols. Realtors who have been in the business for a while describe it as a sweat hogs type program. All I know is that it's keeping me VERY busy!!! I amI excited about the program (most days) and am booking more appointments than I have ever have! I'm finding it a challenge to make my calls, go on my appointments AND get ready for the holidays!

My husband and I have adopted Dave Ramsey's Financial philosophy. We avoid any credit card debt (been there, done that). We still are inundated with credit card applications. The companies apparently still think we are good victims. I was just made aware of a website where you can sign up to "opt out" of these mailings. The site is www.optoutprescreen.com. I just signed up. It is the official consumer credit reporting site where you can opt in or opt out of credit and insurance offers. The mailings should stop in about 30 days. I will let you know. Last week my husband and I received at least 15 of these mailings. My shredder gets a weekly workout!

A couple days ago I wrote a blog about our hike to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite. This was a great personal accomplishment for me. I have never been an athlethe and have never been a big workout person. To prepare for and actually accomplish this, in my mid 50's, makes me believe I can accomplish anything! I have adapted this attitude in my real estate business. Sometimes the steps I have to take to make my business a success are painful, but I remember my hike and the exileration when I reached the top and know I will feel the same when I reach my real estate goals. As on the hike, it's not just the top that's great, it's the journey and the scenery along the way.
