branson events: Amphitheater to Open in May in the Branson Area - 03/04/10 03:19 PM
Coming in May 2010 the Branson area will once again be home to an outdoor amphitheater. The Black Oak Mountain Amphitheater will reopen in Lampe, which is located in Stone County, southwest of Branson.
The attraction originally opened back in 1983, but had since closed. Recently renovated, the outdoor theater will be ready for the first show on May 30, 2010, according to the amphitheater's web site. The first performance will feature artists John Michael Montgomery and Lee Greenwood.

branson events: Branson's Annual Olde Time Fiddle Festival to be held August 23, 2008 - 07/12/08 01:41 PM
This is the 20th year for this popular event that draws fiddlers from all around the Midwest. There are divisions for all age groups: Youth, Junior, and Seniors.
This year's location for the contest is the Branson Best Western at 403 W. Main Street. Registration for participants begins at 9:30 a.m. and the final rounds of competition start at 7 p.m.
