It feels like I am skipping head in the holiday scheme of things, but I just realized that it is already December 20.
If you have not made your plans yet for New Year's Eve, there are a few events going on in the area.
Tofflers New Year's Eve with Joel Pingitore and the Play Ground of Sound: Toffler's in New Glarus often features live music, and New Year's Eve is no exception. celebration: Cheese Days in Monroe, WI - 09/15/08 11:13 AM
Every other year, Monroe is home to the oldest food festival in the Midwest. I don't call this blog "Cheese Country Realtor" for nothing. The area around Monroe is dotted with cheese factories, and this coming weekend, September 19-21, is their time to shine.
The Square will be filled with festival attractions. The popular Cheese Tasting Tent is always the big draw on the west side. The south side of the Square is home to the stage and the ever popular Optimist's Cheese Curds stand. Monroe looks pretty spry for its age. Pull on the party hats because our town turns 150 years old on Friday!Join the Sesquicentennial Gala at Turner Hall on April 4 from 7 pm until 11 pm. Community members will gather for a party featuring "Rocking Dueling Pianos", jokes, entertainment and much more. There will be an opening ceremony, huge birthday cake, vintage item display, decades of costumes, souvenirs for sale, historical storytime, food, drink and dancing.
