Traditionally in the travel industry, travelers are accustomed to seeing vacation packages primarily promoted by large resorts and hotels. A vacation package typically includes stay, meals and activities all for one discounted price.
Family travelers generally prefer vacation packages because they simply don't have the time to research restaurants and local activities to plan a successful family vacation and hope they made the right choices not being familiar with a desired vacation rental location. They just want to "get away" with as less effort as possible.
