Last week the Ellis Team at RE/MAX Realty Group in Fort Myers Florida released the SW Florida real estate Current Market Index for June. The index slipped backwards from May levels. The good news is inventory levels are dropping, and the bad news is so are sales. Latest inventory levels have been posted and it shows the Fort Myers - Cape Coral real estate market is essentially the same as it was back in January. Condo numbers have actually fared slightly better since back in January, a reflection of the effects of season. But was it good enough to carry the condo market the rest of the year?

a local broker called me yesterday to tell me about Jean Harvey with Harvey & Associates. Jean evidently closed her doors yesterday and decided to move her team over to another company and help manage that company. The broker called us because Jean used to work for our team a few years ago before going out on her own when the market was hot. This broker asked how I felt about her not making it.
