These homes foreclosed and the lender bacame the owner of the home hence the name lender owned. Starting January 1st 2009 the Wildcat Mountain trail system in Highlands Ranch CO - which by the way is a great trail system - will be closed for the winter, until March 28th 2009. Over 400 elk live in the land around the trail systems and in the Backcountry Wilderness Area. The trail system closes each winter to let the elk get through the winter with least amount of human interaction possible. There are a number of coyotes living in Highlands Ranch. Occasionally you can see them running across an open field or in the open spaces that surround Highlands Ranch. Today Brian spotted this hungry guy about 2 pm right next to Southridge Rec. Center in Highlands Ranch.  He even "jogged" across a recently finished playground area. The coyotes must be hungry and they are coming closer to homes. You can see this fellow is standing right next to some houses.
