The time houses stayed on the market almost doubled at an average of 231 days on the market. 9.5% of sales were foreclosures or bank owned homes. In 2008 that number was 3.6%. Four of the six bank owned homes sold for under $200 per square foot. There were only six houses sold for under $200 per square foot in 2009. Cherry Hills Village Home Sales are down from 2008, no question about that. Houses are staying on the market for much longer as well. I said this last month, but I'll say it again. One house in June sold for 43% of the original asking price. 43%! That is the lowest since Jan 2006 (that's how far back we are tracking). There are houses on the market that have been there for over 1000 days. 57 houses on the market as of Aug 1st, 2009 have been on the market for more than 300 days.
