Most likely because of the current Home Buyer Tax Credit. Over half of the houses sold in Highlands Ranch in Jan 2010 were sold for under $300,000. The net sold prices ranged from $187,300 to $710,000 in Highlands Ranch Real Estate. The price per square foot ranged from $110 to $218 per square foot. However I took a sneak peak to November and already eight houses have sold in November. All but one house that sold in October sold for in the high 80% of the original listing price. One of the homes sold was a bank owned property and it sold for significantly less per square foot that the other homes. $110 per square foot compared to $140 or more per square foot. Highlands Ranch CO ~ Firelight Market ReportFirelight, Highlands Ranch, Douglas County, CO 80126 The home sales continued to climb in March. The homes priced right around $300,000 are selling well. Nine of the 13 houses that sold in March were sold for under $315,000. On the other hand no homes priced over $500,000 have sold in seven months in Firelight. The average price per square foot has regained it's level of approx. 155/sf from end of last year. More sales are expected as we are heading to busier summer months that in general see more house sales than any other time

Highlands Ranch CO Homes - sold homes activity report Despite stories about homes not selling or home prices dropping somewhere in the country, Highlands Ranch CO houses are selling. More in some price ranges than others. In the last three months (Nov 08-Jan 09), months that are usually slower for real estate sales, 181 houses sold in Highlands Ranch. 42% of the sold houses were under for $300,000. 72% of sold homes were sold for under $400,000. Only six percent of houses sold $600,000 or over. For homes priced (price to sell, that is) under $300,000 we are experiencing multiple buyers competing for
