As the market keeps changing how is your area. We have been very lucky in the East Tennessee area. while sale seem to have a longer marketing time they overall have remained stable. We seem to have slowed on the out of town buyers, but still a lot of out of town lookers. By talking to people across the US it seems different areas have been affected differently. I have spoke to some that have lost 50% of ther equity and others that say their value is climbing.

I am interested in other areas of the country. If you have the time please drop a comment about the area your in and how the real estate market in doing.

As I watch the news all I hear is negative report after neqative report. According to the news we are heading into a depression and all is doomed.   I have always been a news junkie. However, like any bad habbit I have quit. I am just tired of all the gloom and doom they spew at us trying to get their ratings up. I used to have a lot of respect for national news chanels. That is over. They harped on the urgency of a 700,000,000,000 dollar (yes that is a lot of 0's) bail out untill it was voted in. The very next day NBC starter the morning show with the headline. THE HIDDEN DANGERS IN THE BAILOUT.  They thrive on gloom and doom. If we all stop tuning in and inviting them into our living rooms maybe they will go back the the professional news networks they started out to be.
