Volenti Non Fit Injuria
This is a latin legal term which may be translated as "to a willing person, no harm or injury is done".
Over time, it has become a legal defence in may lawsuits. The best and most frequent example used is that of the boxer.

"Volenti Non Fit Injuria" Explained

It underlies the legal doctrine of the "voluntary assumption of risk".Basically, it is a defence in tort law. If there is an action which causes injury, there is no claim if the injured party had given their consent. However, consent means "informed consent" by someone who fully appreciates the risks.
