What a day! The outpouring of support from those and forthose who are affected by Angelman Syndrome was overwhelming at this year's 2009 Angelman Syndrome National Walk-a-thon that took place in 24 locations across America this past Saturday May 16th, 2009.
Before I had even stepped out my door at 5:45am the morning of the walk we had already raised over $55,000 and had preregistered over 370 walkers for the Philadelphia area walk-a-thon which took place at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ. "Things aren't always as they seem". You may have heard these words spoken in previous circumstances but just take a moment to really think about it.
As I was waiting for the bus with my son this morning we always chat about something that he is interested in. Honestly, he has a very eccentric personality so these conversations are usually very interesting.
