lenders: Communication: Do Lenders Believe In It? - 09/30/11 02:58 PM
Communication is so important in any transaction. Without it, deals can fall through. That is exactly what happened to me.
The Buyer had opted for an out of state lender because she lived in that state. We usually encourage local lenders, since they are the ones that are familiar with the different regulations of that state. This particular lender the Buyer was working with state that she was certified in Pennsylvania and a couple of other states.
Right at the start, there were communication gaps between the lender and me. E-mails were sent and voice mails left asking … (4 comments)

It seems to me that lenders are doing everything they can to make it as difficult as possible to meet closing conditions once buyers are pre-qualified.

We seem to be at the mercy of the lenders these days, or so it seems. They will ask you to do almost anything in order for you to get the mortgage.
