The Northampton County 4H Tree Sale is set to begin with the new year.
Various types of evergreens and deciduous tree seedlings will be sold in bundles.
The sales will benefit the Northampton County 4H program and its members.
The deadline for ordering the seedlings is March 2, 2012. Pick up is April 28th, 2012 at various locations. You can specify which location you would like to pick up your order.

northampton county 4h: Great Day At Northampton County 4H Center Open Gate Tour - 10/11/11 01:03 PM
This past weekend was the Northampton County Open Gate Tour. The Northampton County 4H Center was a part of that tour on Sunday. They held an open schooling horse show, animals on display for learning about them and petting, 4H projects displayed, crafts for the kids (and adults), and their delicious, famous BBQ chicken dinners.

Not really into the show circuit, but still interested in getting your horse out for something different?
On October 9th, 2011, an Open Schooling Show will be held at the Northampton County 4H Center, just outside of Nazareth, PA. it is set to begin at 10:00 AM.
It is sponsored by the Northampton County 4H Center. The show is open to anyone from the age of 8 years of age and over, including adults.

June 4th, 2011, a youth and adult schooling show will be held at the Northampton County 4H Center in Nazareth, PA starting at 9AM.
It will consist of youth and open classes in walk-trot, walk trot canter, pleasure & equitation, and jumping. It will also include some fun classes. The cost per class is $6 and is open to all disciplines of riding.
Formal dress is not required, although boots and a helmet for riding are a MUST. No T-shirts please.

northampton county 4h: 4Her's and "Paint Your Pony" - 09/14/10 12:57 PM
Last Friday evening, the Northampton County 4H Horse clubs had a unique experience. They were able to "Paint a Pony".
Native American friends of mine spoke to the 4H horse club members (and their parents) about the symbols that the Native American tribes painted on their ponies. They explained that the symbols told a story and what each symbol meant.
The adults were also very much interested.
Afterwards, the 4Hers had the opportunity to "paint" 2 ponies. (Native Americans always called their horses ponies, no matter what their size.) Each one told quite an interesting … (8 comments)

The Northampton County 4H Fair 2010 is right around the corner.
It will run from July 30th, 31st and August 1st. Join us as 4H youth from across Northampton County demonstrate thier skills and talents at the County 4H Fair held at the Northampton County 4H Center, in Bushkill Township just north of Nazareth, PA. 4H youth will participate in competitions ranging from handicrafts and foods to project animals.

northampton county 4h: 4H Fair Begins Today in the Nazareth, Pennsylvania area - 08/07/09 07:29 AM
The Annual 4H Fair begins today at the Northampton county 4H Center in Bushkill Township, just outside of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
There will be many exhibits of projects that the members have worked on during the year. Members will be showing their animals, and non-animal projects will be on display for all to see.
Some 4H clubs will be giving presentations today. My horse club will be putting on a presentation twice for the visitors. They have worked hard on it and have lots of fun doing it. One of the members wrote the script for it. They all did … (2 comments)

northampton county 4h: 4H Schooling Horse Show in Northampton County, PA - 06/08/09 02:02 PM
One of the Northampton County 4H Clubs held a schooling horse show this past weekend as their fund raiser. One of my members rode in it and several other members of my club helped out.
For the benefit of those that do not know what a schooling horse show is, it is a practice show. The horse and riders participate in different classes in the show and are pinned like at any other show. It's springtime and that means the tack sales are coming around again.
For those of you that are not familiar with tack sales, a tack sale is a "horsey" yard sale. Anyone that has horsey items to sell will be here. It includes clothing, riding and training equipment, books, toys, anything that is horse related.
Northampton County 4H Center will hold it's Tack Sale on April 18th, from 11AM until 2PM. If you need any horse items, it's a great place to find some good deals on many items.
Lots of FREE parking and food will be available.

northampton county 4h: Tree Sale to Benefit Northampton County 4H Program - 02/23/09 09:55 AM
A tree seedling sale is being offered by the Northampton County 4H Program. The sale benefits all Northampton County 4H clubs.
Orders are being taken now through March 10th, 2009 and are to be picked up on April 25th, between the hours of 9AM to 11AM, at one of 6 pick-up centers in Northampton county. The pick-up location is to be specified at the time of the order.
A variety of seedlings are being offered. They are:
Scotch Pine, Eastern White Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Douglas Fir, Sugar Maple, Red Oak, European Mountain Ash, American Arborvitae and Callery Pear.
