realtor: REALTOR's Educating Clients On Real Estate - 09/22/11 01:37 PM

When searching or selling a horse property or any property, always remember to read your contract before listing it or placing an offer on the horse property.  It is so important to read it before signing.  If there are any questions about anything in the contract, before signing it is the time to ask your REALTOR about it.  Once you sign it, it may be too late.

If your REALTOR does not have the answers, they should be able to find out for you and get back to you with the correct information.

The REALTOR should go over … (0 comments)

realtor: 6 Critical Steps to Surviving A Bad REALTOR When Selling A Home - Part II - 09/28/10 03:28 PM

I shared part I of a blog post written by a fellow REALTOR, Reginald Reglus from Keller Williams.  Here, in part II, are the final 3 steps about surviving a bad REALTOR when selling a home.

In my previous post I outlined the first 3 critical steps to surviving a bad Realtor® when selling a home.  If you recall they were as follows:
1. Act quickly;
2. Document all aspects of the situation;
3.Communicate your concerns and desires to the Realtor®.

realtor: 6 Critical Steps to Surviving A Bad REALTOR When Selling A Home - Part I - 09/28/10 08:25 AM

The following article was written by a fellow REALTOR, Reginald Reglus of Keller Williams.  From time to time, a few come across a REALTOR that just doesn't come through as promised.  Here is Part I of the steps to take to survive a a bad REALTOR when selling a home.

Selling a home is a major occurrence in the lives of most people. Let's face it, you don't do this everyday. When selling a home it is important to pick the right real estate professional to help you. You must choose wisely because this is probably one of the most expensive … (4 comments)

realtor: A Bad Start to the Day With a Happy Ending - A REALTOR's Diary - 07/26/10 08:25 AM

What a day I had on Friday!

The morning began with no internet connection.  That is a REALTOR's absolute nightmare!!  I had a listing appointment and I had no way of completing the work for it without the internet.  HORRORS!!!

After about 2 frustrating hours, I finally was able to fix the problem.  Whew!!  I'm able to move on with completing the work.  The rest of the morning was uneventful except for a few calls.

After lunch, I headed out for my listing appointment.  Since it was a Friday, I left a little earlier.  I was on schedule.  The home was located on … (8 comments)

realtor: REALTORS Doing Too Little?? Think Again! - 05/14/09 09:58 AM

I am under the impression that most consumers think that real estate agents just stick a sign in the yard, enter the listing in the local MLS, show buyers homes and their job is done.  Therefore, some feel that they can do the same job selling their own home.  Not so.  Our jobs entail much more than that.

REALTORS do the following:
1.  Help consumers through a complicated process.  Buying or selling a home requires numerous forms such as disclosure forms, inspection reports, mortgage documents, insurance policies, deeds and multipage settlement statements.  A knowledgeable expert will help you prepare the best deal … (2 comments)

realtor: Charity Formed by REALTOR to Save Abandoned Pets During Foreclosure - 07/16/08 02:52 PM

As more and more foreclosures escalate and home owners are forced out of their homes, pets end up abandoned in the homes with little food and water.  The former homeowners assume a real estate agent or bank official will be by the home to inspect it, but in most instances that is not the case.  Pets end up with no food or water in hot or freezing homes with utilities shut off.

Some owners make attempts to place their beloved pets in no kill shelters or pet rescues, but most end up turned away.  Most of these shelters … (9 comments)

realtor: Why Should a Buyer or Seller Work with a REALTOR?? - 05/02/08 02:22 PM

Are all real estate agents REALTORS?
No.  Not all real estate agents are REALTORS.  The term REALTOR is a registered trademark.  It identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS.  A REALTOR abides by a strict Code of Ethics.
Why work with a REALTOR?
Here are some reasons why.
1 - Navigate through a complicated process.  Buying or selling a home requires numerous forms, such as: disclosure forms, inspection reports, mortgage documents, insurance policies, deeds and multipage settlement statements.  A knowledgeable professional will help you prepare the best deal and avoid costly mistakes and delays.
2 - Provide information … (14 comments)

realtor: FREE Market Analysis! Does it Really Benefit the Agent? - 07/31/07 02:31 PM
Last week I had an appointment with a gentleman, for a Market Analysis, who was trying to sell a home on his own.  ( I do want to mention that this home has been on the market for awhile.)  Now this was a 2 acre lot on which he had just built a home and wanted to sell it.  (He did not reside in it.)  Now the home was not completed, reason being that it would be finished to the buyer's tastes (colors, light fixtures, etc.).
The seller gave me the tour and then we discussed the sale of the home.  He stated that … (9 comments)
