Isn't it great when you can enjoy a few drinks, a live band, hang out with friends, and do it all for a good cause? Thursday, August 21 from 6-9 p.m. is the 4th annual Brew at the Zoo at the National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave., NW). The event is sponsored by the Friends of the National Zoo Young Professionals and features beers and hors d'oeuvres from more then 20 microbreweries and local restaurants. Entertainment will be provided by local band Wit Til Friday.

The work of top designers isn’t reserved only for the rich and well-connected. This spring, fifteen of the nation’s top designers will showcase their talents by transforming a historic house in Georgetown to benefit Children’s National Medical Center.
From Saturday, April 19 through Thursday, May 11, you will be able to tour Children’s Hospital Design House at 3014 P Street, NW. It is a wonderful opportunity to admire the work of talented professional, and maybe even be inspired to try some of their ideas in your own home.
