FOREST LAKE SUBDIVISION is a community located north of Bayfield about 25 or 30 minutes east of Durango. It has its own Lake which can be used for nonmotorized boating, fishing and swimming if you’d like. Vallecito Lake would be north of the subdivision about 4 or 5 miles and offers motorized boating including jet skis, speedboats, pontoon boats and some excellent fishing.
