Durango real estate statistics for the first 6 months of 2011
I have written about Durango real estate statistics for the first 6 months of 2011 but in that analysis I was looking at various price brackets and not by geographic areas of the county.  (See previous blog.) Durango Colorado Neighborhoods One of the very unique things about Durango Colorado real estate is a multiplicity of Durango neighborhoods. Durango is not like the big city where large corporate builders come in and build hundreds of homes with four or five floorplans. On July 1 of this year the Bureau of Reclamation declared Lake Nighthorse officially filled to capacity. This reservoir, located just outside the city limits of Durango, will offer wonderful recreational opportunities for residents of Durango. My father would be 101 years old next month if he were still living. His spirit and teachings however have continued on well beyond his death 20 years ago. As in immigrant to this country from Austria-Hungary during the first world war, he brought with him a lot of wisdom and together with many of his life lessons learned while running and owning his own business… he passed on to his children.
