Arizona is wonderful!
It is much different here from the Oregon Coast. No ocean, and lots of cactus. The weather is beyond great for someone who doesn't like to be cold.
My husband has a great job and I am able to stay at home for the time being and learn some new skills. I am going to be completing a course on teaching English as a second language and have also received a certificate for beginning grant writing. I am also taking on some freelance writing projects and believe that by trying to explore new avenues and keep my options … (10 comments)

Phoenix, AZ. in the Springtime

We visited friends in Phoenix, AZ. from May 7- 12, 2008. We had a great time and this day it hit 100! In Spring... poor Phoenix gets hit sometimes with these high temps!! Yes we expect those high temps in the summer but early May?!

One day we decided to take a trip to Camelback Mountain.

There are nice trails there to hike and a variety of cactus to view. This time of year the blooms on certain cactus were almost spent, but still beautiful.

 Have you met Candace Robinson??                             I have had the awesome opportunity and I am honored to call her my friend!  She is probably going to be all humble about this post...but she was a beautiful desert flower in Phoenix when I went to visit a couple weeks ago.  I met Candace on ActiveRain just a few  short months ago when I discovered her post about adding HTML to your blogs.
