Preapprovals and Proof of Funds

In today's market it is important to have a preapproval or proof of funds available before you start your home search, especially if you are considering a short sale or REO property. Most banks will not even look at an offer without one of these two documents. Many buyers are missing out on GREAT oppurtunities because they are not ready when the right property comes on the market. If you are working with a buyer specialist or Realtor it is best to go a head and send this documentation a head of time so that when the right property comes available you are not scrambling to sign documents and trying to get your banker to send the letter. Time is of the essence in all aspects and being prepared is vital in today's market especially in Bay County, Florida.
