How to Remove Driveway Stains - 12/30/10 02:06 PM
Driveway stains such as oil, for instance, can be a real eye sore. Not to mention the annoying threatening letters most of us get from our associations to remove them. If you have pavers, as a lot of us down in Florida do, this can be a problem because they are expensive to replace and almost impossible to replace. If you have concrete, then it really stands out. I have found a solution and it actually works. The key is to try and catch it as soon as possible instead of letting it fester and to apply the right amount of (1 comments)
Hollywood, Florida Short Sale Condo - 12/27/10 11:30 AM
Seems like everything for sale out there these days is a short sale, and this one is no different. I just listed a lovely, remodeled 2/2 condo at the Fairways in Hollywood, Florida. Located directly in the heart of Emerad Hills, this unit sits directly across from a spectacular new playground. I would show you a photo, but the Active Rain upload is not working today. But hey, you can always email me and I'll be happy to send you whatever information you may need. The unit once sold for way over $200K, but is now offered at $150K. Can you (2 comments)
Is There Protocol in this Business Anymore? - 12/21/10 12:28 PM
I rencently sold a short sale home here in Pembroke Pines, Florida in one day at full price. Now the cash buyer says he wants to close before the end of the year to save a whopping $900. on his property taxes next year. Seller, of course, hasn't even moved yet. So what does the buyer do? Instead of asking his agent or me to work something out for a buy/lease back, she goes over to the house and cuts a deal behind my back. The seller, naturally, is furious that this woman would come over unannounced and proceeds to lambaste (3 comments)
How much do you know about bed bugs? - 12/17/10 12:36 PM
Bed bugs are not vectors of any human disease and were very common in the U.S. prior to World War II. The introduction and widespread use of DDT greatly decreased infestations. But resistance to pesticides, an increase in international travel and the high cost of eradication have led to an explosion in the bed bug population. Profeonal treatment of jssiust a one-bedroom apartment will range from $800 to $1,200. Pest control experts say it's far more difficult to get rid of bed bugs than ants, termites and cockroaches. They hitch a ride on luggage, pets and other items brought into the (4 comments)
Tips For Keeping Your South Florida Home Safe From Burglars - 12/17/10 12:32 PM
1. Report suspicious vehicles to the police department by calling 954-431-2200. Watch out for all vehicles, not just vans and trucks. Passenger cars, expensive and inexpensive, also are used by thieves. Keep a pencil and paper in your car. If you see a suspicious car in your neighborhood, take down the license number and write down a general description of the vehicle and its occupants. Mark the location, time and date for general reference should this information be needed again. Teach your children to be alert for suspicious vehicles while they are out and around the neighborhood. Become familiar with your (0 comments)
Donate Your Used Cell Phones For Our Soldiers Overseas - 12/16/10 11:46 AM
I recently found a fantastic way of giving back to our troops overseas. And the best part is that it doesn't cost anyone a thing. General Motors is sponsoring a program where you can donate your used cell phone in exchange for a soldier receiving a free 60 minute calling card. Go to the following website and print out a free postage page label to send. I am sure they will appreciate it, especially now. Besides, it's the right thing to do. https://www.gmmilitarydiscount.com/ip-vpp/?campaign=phone#PHONES (0 comments)
