Cold weather builds character!!! - 12/23/08 11:37 PM
That's what my friend, Ken Tracy, told me today.  Of course, he lives near Chicago.
Having been born and raised in Southern CA, I'm skeptical of Ken's claim.
However, if Ken's right, we're building LOTS of character this month!  :)
Anyway, if you need a nice new home in Naperville, go see Ken.

Trip to Israel. - 12/23/08 05:37 PM
Our youngest son went to Israel earlier this year.
He invited me to come along, but I don't like to fly.
He said it was amazing to see the land where Jesus walked!
This is the remains of a Roman aqueduct.  Good solid construction.
I'll post more of his pictures in the future.  I'm still a work in progress.  :)

Jason Crouch says.... - 12/22/08 12:51 PM
Hey Bruce!
"Get your picture posted so we can see what you look like."
:::: gulp ::::
Oh man.  I was afraid he would notice.  Thought I could slip in under the radar.
There are no online pictures of me, for a reason!  I would be better on radio.  :)
Now my coach tells me I need a picture.
Hmm.
Could I use this one from 1956?
I don't know.  I guess that would be false advertising.
Okay.  I found one.  A long shot.  That ought to do the trick.
Plus, it brings back good memories of Buca di Beppo.  Great Italian food.

From our ActiveRain family to theirs - Let's help a family in need - 12/19/08 12:40 PM
Please do this for a good cause.
Thank you.
Via Bob Stewart - ActiveRain (ActiveRain):
ActiveRain adopted a family for Christmas this year. We want to see if you will help us give them the best Christmas ever.
We actually adopted a little girl and her family through the Seattle Children's Hospital. Zorra is the little girl and she lives with her five siblings and their mom. The family is facing significant financial stressors, like many families across our country, that will prevent them from obtaining needed items during the holidays. Beyond the items they need, we also want to raise the … (2 comments)

Google Views ActiveRain as Even More Valuable Now - My SEO Perspective - 12/19/08 12:22 PM
I was lucky to find ActiveRain, because of Google searches I was doing for my clients, so this post from Jason Crouch is very interesting to me.
Thanks for reading.  Have a great weekend!  :)

I don't want to make this post overly rudimentary, but I would like to start out (for those of you who are complete newbies) by stating that "SEO" means "search engine optimization".  Each time I have written a post with SEO in the title, someone inevitably asks.
Now that we have that out of the way, I … (0 comments)

How ActiveRain's Re-Blogging Can Help Us All! A basic SEO concept that I finally appreciate now - 12/19/08 01:03 AM
Here's a puzzle for you....
How many times can you re-blog a post on re-blogging?  :)
Via Jason Crouch, Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate (512-796-7653) (Austin Texas Homes, LLC):
Not too long ago, ActiveRain launched the "Re-Blog" feature, which allows members to designate posts that they will allow others to post on their own blogs.  I have been fortunate enough to have had about 8-10 of my posts re-blogged since this was launched.  Each time this happens, I get an additional 25 points, which is great, but there is a much larger benefit at play here.
At first, I found this to … (2 comments)
