On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2pm Eastern (1400 for those familiar with 24 hour time) FEMA will conduct a Nationwide TEST of the Emergency Broadcast System.

This is the 1st test of the system across the entire nation. It will be similar to the tests we've seen & hear for years, but it is the first nationwide test. Mosty will see or hear the usual test preamble, but it is expected that some areas will not see the TEST ribbon on the TV screen or may not properly be advised verbally on local radio stations.

The system has been used regionally & locally by NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association) and State agencies. The President can also activate this system nationwide if needed.

FEMA (and other agencies) have produced videos to help get the word out.
