Who says winter is the only time of the year to experience the cooling effects of ice? Not in the City of Bowie in Maryland. Through its Ice Arena, the city is able to provide a chilling spot for its residents all year round.

Serving the city residents since 1971, it started out as a seasonal facility. Then it became a year-round facility providing ice skating fun and entertainment to residents from July to April. The months of May and June are dedicated for maintenance activities, yet, it is still open for dry-floor activities.

The city of Bowie is one of the communities I endear. It is located in Prince George’s County in Maryland and occupies a total land area of 18 square miles.
