The inventory of single-family homes for sale in Palo Alto is extremely low which has resulted in significant price increases.  The demand for properties has not slowed down in the Fall, when the typical market is much slower and buyers take a break.  This year, November in particular, buyer activity has been just as strong as a typical Spring market.
There are 20 luxury single family homes on the market in Palo Alto.  There are a few bargains, including one in Crescent Park.  In general, the inventory of homes for sale is as follows:

Looking for a home in Palo Alto, CA?  Here's a current list of searchable properties for sale in Palo Alto including several that are clearly not on the MLS.  Buying a single-family house has been a significant challenge lately as prices have risen, inventory limited, and competition fierce.  The lowest priced home is at 240 Whitclem and priced at $1,089,000 - out of reach for many buyers.  The next 6 lowest priced homes are much more expensive and all but one have been on the market 4 or fewer days.

Home sales are still hot in Palo Alto and multiple offers still rule the market.
