There's a war going on in downtown Los altos and, given time, the bad side is going to lose. Times are tough for businesses there. With all the construction going on to improve the area, lack of parking and difficult getting around have cut many businesses revenue 30-70% (I'm hearing this from business owners). There's another factor keeping the downtown business district from ever, and I mean EVER, becoming a destination.
