One of the great things about Georgetown is the local hike and bike trail system. The City maintains a several trails that essentially begin at San Gabriel Park. From here you can take the South fork trail to the downtown area and visit the square for shopping or dining or continue to follow the trail to Blue Hole swimming area. 
For those a bit more energetic, The North fork of the San Gabriel river trail will take from the San Gabriel park all the way to the Dam at Lake Georgetown. From there you can visit several LCRA parks or connect to the Goodwater trail, a 26 mile trail around the lake.

There are so many medical facilities in the area including those that have been recently built and proposed that I thought it would be helpful to map their location. It's interesting to note that many of them are actually quite close to each other and seem to form a triangle from hwy 1431 in Round Rock to Senic Drive in Georgetown. While researching a new listing, I discovered one of Georgetown's best kept secrets, Berry Springs Park and Preserve. It opened October 2005 and is hidden just east of Georgetown off County Road 152.
The park is utilized for passive recreational activities and features playgrounds, barbecue grills, picnic tables and pavilions which can be rented. Berry Springs provides a fresh water lake for fishing. There are camp sites and hike and bike trails which may eventually be connected to the Georgetown park and receration trails. I had the opportunity to tour the new Sun City Model Park last week. They have 9 new model homes on display varying in size, features and price. The homes are classified into 3 groups: the Villas, The Classics and The Estates. the Villas are the smaller homes ranging in size from 1,393 SF to 1,465 SF. The Classic series are 1,553 SF to 1,896 SF and the Estates start at 2,112 SF up to 2,848 SF. As of 10/11/07, according to the Sun City literature, the pricing started in the low $140's and are subject to change without notice.
