I just got back from a long weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I went with my husband for a little R&R.

My husband and I left Friday morning for a quick getaway to Santa fe, new Mexico. It has been fun playing tourist for a few days but now it is time to load up the car and start the 6 hour journey home. I have lots of cool pictures to share with you all once I get back to download the pictures on my computer. It's funny how my eye has been drawn to real estate even while on a mini vacation. Lately, it seems that the lenders we work with have become complacent to the urgency of purchase transactions.
 
In Colorado, purchase closing fund at the table with the buyer and seller sitting across the table from each other.  We are not an escrow state.  This means that the loan documents and funds need to be sent to the title company ahead of time.

It’s just after 7pm and my cell phone is just about out of juice.  I can always tell when its been a busy day when this happens, and lately it happens a lot.

Yesterday was Earth Day and I had the day off from real estate.  I have a flower garden in my backyard that was in desperate need of some over-hauling. 
 
I started digging out old rose bushes and everything else in the garden around 10:00 am.  My husband came out a few hours later to lend a hand (finally!). 
 
Since the ground was so hard, I decided to soak it down a bit and boy did it make some great mud puddles.

I took a listing this past week and had my daughter help me add some special touches to the home to make it pop.  She is always so great at decorating and together we make quite a team.
 
We loaded up my husband’s SUV with goodies and a couple of area rugs and boy did those help liven up the rooms.
 
My basement seems to be packed with staging supplies these days so there is never a shortage of decorating supplies.

I was out walking in the courtyard behind our office with my business partner Will.  It has been a mild day with blue skies. 
 
When I looked to the north, I saw these narley looking clouds and decided we might be in store for a shower or two.  Luckily Will had the camera so I could snap a couple of shots before the weather changes.

We just took a new listing in a complex called The Yacht Club.  Don’t get excited.  The largest vessel on saw on the adjacent lake was a small fishing boat. 
It is a nice community with walking access to the Mayham Lake in Westminster.  There are ducks and geese and lots of water. 
When I was walking back to the townhome we listed, I noticed the speed limit sign in the alley.  I had to do a double take.  It said Speed Limit 13 Knots.

As a Realtor, I don’t limit myself to one particular area of town when working with clients.  Because of that, I get to see lots of neighborhoods in the Denver Metro Area.

When I was outside yesterday afternoon in front of my house, I heard birds chirping and bees buzzing all around the beautiful blooming crab apple tree in front of my house.  It is in full bloom right now and the birds and the bees are just going nuts.
 
Finally they have a place to celebrate the onset of warmer, sunny days.

We get some strange weather in Colorado and today is no different.  On Sunday, I was out showing homes with my air conditioning blasting and my bun coolers set to high.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.  I got home and turned the central air on at my house.
 
Last night when I got home, I could almost see my breath in the house and my hands were ice cold.  Back on with the heater.
