nature and animals: Who Owns the Mountains? Man or Beast?

Summertime in the Rockies brings lots of people out to enjoy camping in the mountains. There have been numerous reports lately about the ongoing battle between man and beast. This past weekend, there was a news story about some teens who were camping in their tents only to be woken up by a bear ripping through the side of the tent. One of the boys was scratched by the bear but they both made it to safety without further incident.
