According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), they are seeing less "lowball offers" (an offer that's 25% or more below the property's list price) than they saw a year ago. Usually, when there’s an excess of homes available, lowball offers spike, because buyers  gamble that they might get lucky. A little over a year ago, in March 2011, one out of ten real estate agents and brokers complained about lowball offers, according to NAR. However, in the latest NAR survey of 4,500 Realtors, complaints about lowball offers were almost absent.
