POSSIBLE SCAM....NOT A JOKE!! - 08/29/08 10:15 AM
Just got done talking with one of my agents.  He recieved a call from (supposedly Walmart).  The person said they were from the Walmart asset recovery division, and that my agent had stopped payment on a check and they wanted to know why and wanted it to be taken care of.
My agent said he did not stop payment.
The person on the other end of the line said "then we can put this check through."  Then they asked him to read his account number to him.
WHAT!!!!
If they would have had a check that had been stopped, they would … (15 comments)

Never Satisfyed!!! (Humor) - 08/28/08 12:08 PM
Tommy is a young boy and just potty trained. Although, when he goes to the bathroom, he hits everything but the toilet.  So, Mom has to clean up after him and after 2 weeks she has had enough and takes Tommy to the Dr.
After the examination, the Dr. says..."his unit is to small.  An old wives tale is to give him 2 pieces of toast each morning, and his unit will grow and so he can hold it and aim straight.
The next morning, Tommy awoke and rushed downstairs and on the table was "12" slices of toast.
Tommy yells..."Mom, … (10 comments)

Rabbits,make good house pet's...I didn't believe it either! - 08/25/08 07:50 PM
Now this may not be the most conventional indoor pet, but I laughed so much a this rabbit that my step-son and wife have in the house.  totally potty trained.  Has a cage that when no one is around it goes into with out being told.  Nover jumps on the furnature or tables or counters.  ( I HATE CATS ON THE COUNTERS!!!)  Would I consider doing this...most likely NOT, but it sure works for them.  It was the most entertainment for the weekend!

In Concertwith...Trace Adkins - 08/21/08 10:42 AM
Wow...what a good time.  This is the second time I have seen him in concert and othe than being a bit loud, (which should not be a problem for an old fart like me) He was on top of his game last night.  It was an indoor event, all the seats were good and he brought the house down!
The one thing that Trace does, is, He sings!  Sounds funny I know, that's what he is supposed to do, but, many of the concerts I have bee to  the artist talks as much as he sings.

"Really!?  Well thank God we didn't catch anymore!

 They all can't be big!!

62+ acres of farmland and on the rise! - 08/19/08 06:20 PM
This is a picture from 2 years ago.  This 62 acres of open land (50+ tillable), also has an o hip roof barn.  There are several old buildings that need to be removed.  Seller will remove buildings or, build some equity fast and do the cleanup yourself.   With farmland prices on the rise here in Minnesota,  this is a great peice to start with or to just invest.  $374,900.  Seller will allow $40,000 for clean up,  Seller has a verbal bid of $25,000.   Give me a yell.  651-674-5999.
Land is situated less than an hour north of the twin city subs.   … (3 comments)

A change in attitude. - 08/18/08 12:10 PM
David received a Parrot for his birthday.  The Parrot had a bad attitude and a worse vocabulary.  Every other word was an obscenity. Those that weren't expletives, were to say the least , rude.  David tried hard to change the birds attitude and was constantly saying polite words and playing soft music, anything he could think of. Nothing worked.  He yelled at the bird and the bird yelled back. He shocked the bird and he only got more angry and more rude.  Finally in a moment of desparation, David put the bird in the freezer...just for a few moments.  He heard … (5 comments)

Prospecting among family and friends. - 08/16/08 08:31 PM
A Birthday party for a great nephew on the wife's side.  A bit of soda pop and try to make conversation with people you have no common ground with except for a 1year old that has now clue as to what is going on!
But, being the great person I am, (these words right from my mother-in-law) I went and made small talk.
Small talk turned into heavy Real Estate talk when my niece told some of her freinds ther, that I was helping them find a house.
Well questions flew quicker than I could answer.  After an hour I had … (6 comments)

The owner of a home in the Bittinger,MD area come home to a surprise.  A fawn deer was laying on the sofa next to the families beagle.  It had to have followed the dog in through the doggie door.
This was  big hit with the Media as it put this story in front of the political stories of McCain and Obama.
THE MEDIEA FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!!!

A Quote on Marriage! - 08/07/08 05:43 PM
One of my better friends sent this to me...told me not to show my loving wife.  I think he may be right!
There is no realizable power that man cannot, in time, fashion the tools to attain, nor any power to secure that the naked ape will not abuse it.  So it is written in the genetic cards, only physics and war hold him in check.  And a wife who wants him home by "5", of course.

Another life saved from the wilds of the World! - 08/07/08 05:23 PM
I came home to day, and my wife told me to look under a box in the yard.  A bit skeptical I did, you never know what she may have up her sleeve, and I found a Rabbit.  A full grown, Lop Earred Rabbit.  Now, she has been wanting a "Bunny" for a while now, but, a little one, not one big enough for dinner.
I checked it out thinking it may have gotten away from someone, but our nearest neighbor is more than a 1/4 mile away on one side and 1/2 mile on the other.  The poor thing was … (5 comments)

Land Prices are UP!!! - 08/05/08 10:32 AM
The latest from the Depatrment of Agriculture is that Land Prices are on the rise!  I heard this on the radio this morning on the Farm Network and Commodities show.  Because this is not BAD news...you won't hear any of it on the local "or" national news...not depressing enough.

It seams that the Demand for grains and other exportable commodities is driving up the land prices.  (Not to mention the use of grain for ethenol) Many of the CRP lands that the Gov. had paid the farmers to set idle, are not going back into that program...somewhere in the area … (11 comments)

Some Thought to Ponder... - 08/02/08 09:37 PM
No one can enjoy freedom unless they are willing to surrender some part of it.
Tha only way to entertain some folks is to listen to them.  (My in-laws)
Education is a chest of tools. The only thing harder than sticking to a diet is keeping quiet about it.
Success has many friends!
If youth really were wise, it would miss most of its fun.
No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader.  (Thank You Richard and others.)
Have a great night.

It's a long way away!! (humor) - 08/02/08 10:07 AM
2 Blondes were sitting in a bar enjoying a cool one.  General chit chat was the daily order.  after a while, one of them asked the other,
"Which is farther away...The Moon, or ...Miami?"
"Well DUH", said the 2nd.  "Miami of course...I can see the moon from here, but, I can't see Miami!"

HMMMM...WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?
Have a day full of smiles everyone!

A Transparent Butterfly...? Never in all my years! - 08/01/08 11:35 PM
A transparent Butterfly:
They hale from Central America and range from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in it's zone, but not easy to find because of the transparent wings.

A Butterfly with transparent wings is both rare and beautiful.  As delicate as fine blown glass!

The presence of theis rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and it's demise alerts them of ecological change.

Rivaling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the translucent wings of the Glasswing Butterfly shimmering in the sunlight like polished panes … (18 comments)

Do You feel smarter after a few Beer? - 08/01/08 11:16 AM
As a huge fan of the old series "Cheers" , Cliff Clavin the Postal Carrier was explaining to Norm, why we feel smarter when we drink.
THIS MAKES A LOT OF SENSE TO ME!!!
'Well you see Norm it's like this...A herd of Buffalo can only move as fast as it's slowest buffalo.  And when they are hunted the slowest and weakest ones at the back are killed first.  This Natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the health and the speed of the herd improves with the general killing of the weakest members.
