White Sox Win...:( - 09/29/08 07:29 PM
Chicago out scores the Detroit Tigers 8-2.  That puts the Sox and my TWINS, in  tie for the division.  Tie Breaker tomorrow with the Sox, at Chicago.  Winner takes all!!!  This should be an exciting game.  The Twins took 3 in a row at home last week.
These two teams are matched up pretty even with the edge to Chicago because of maturity.  The Twins have a lot of young players...players with heart!  DON'T COUNT THEM OUT!

Twins Win!!! (2) - 09/28/08 07:07 PM
I have just become a Detroit Tiger fan. The Twins won today, and will win the division, unless Chicago White sox win tomorrow, hence, me now being a Tiger fan.  If Chicago wins tomorrow, it will then be a tie , and there will be a play off game in Chicago to see who hold the division title and goes on to play in the playoffs.
The Drama continues!

They really needed to win all three.  Media said very unlikely.  Chicago had the bubbly all chilled on game one, but it was not to be

A sad ending, but thanks for the Prayers and words! - 09/24/08 06:54 PM
This is in reference to all the prayers I asked for in helping the elderly lady who plays Organ at our church.  She has decided NOT to fight, and just resign.  But, she is also leaving our church for another.  This is a bad day for us and just the start of more major issues that are already coming to the surface.
Please, continued prayers for myself and other trying to bring peace and harmony back to our little congegational family.
Thank You, and God Bless.

Now is the time to pick your trees to plant! - 09/23/08 03:24 PM
Not everyone plants trees in the spring some wait for fall.  But now is the time to pick which ones you want.  Just because you plant a maple tree, does not mean you will have brilliant fall red color.

Some maples I have turn yellow!

Yet some, like my white oaks, turn brown and fall off.

So what is the point??  Fall is when the color is out.  Now is when you are thinning out the trees on your wooded lot, mark the colorful ones to save.  If you are going to transplant some in the spring, mark … (7 comments)

Pet Lovers...Is your Pet ready for winter? - 09/18/08 03:53 PM
Autumn is in the air and some normal care for your pet needs to be thought of now.  Especially for our pets that stay outdoors.
For the Northern regions shelter is a big one.  Shelters should be elevated a few inches above the ground with some kind of insulationbetween the floor and ground.
Water...Animals need water everyday.  The cold air is dry air and dehydration occurs much faster than during more humid times.  Don't think because you may have snow for your pet that this will suffice.  A foot of snow on the average will give you about 1 inch … (9 comments)

Choir has Started in our little Church! - 09/17/08 05:04 PM
Well it's that joyous time of year when our little band of singer grace the sanctuary of our church.  NO, no tryouts, just come and sing.  We are small enought o welcome all comers.  We stand 14 Strong!  Are we the best around...no, but let's just say we ar the Best in our little arena.
Why no tryouts...well we need a Bass singer...that's me and if they had me try out, I would be out after 3-4 notes.  but, we have enough to drown out my off key resonation just enough, but let the frog through.
We have a great time … (4 comments)

Treading Adversity in Calm waters...Can you?? - 09/09/08 02:02 PM
We all handle adversity in different ways.  Some shut down, others scream as loud as they can. But how about in our Real Estate Profession?  Are you a rageing river at the first sign of problems, screaming "Who is at fault"?...

                                               OR...
Do you stop and anylize the problem, ask questions and react calmly.  It has been said that the first to lose the temper is the one to lose the arguement...and that holds true very often.  For while you are yelling and screaming, you are not hearing what the other parties are saying.  By not listening, you are … (7 comments)

Rememberence is a good thing! - 09/05/08 06:07 PM
Two fellas are fishing in a boat under a bridge.  A funeral procession crosses the bridge and one of the fellows stands up in the boat, takes off his hat and bows his head.  After the procession passes, he puts his hat back on and sits down, grabs his fishing rod and goes back to fishing.
The second fellow said..." I didn't know you had it in ya...
"Well", said the second guy..." I guess it was the thing to do, after all, I was married to her for over 40 years!"
