minnesota sports: And another Season comes to an end. - 01/05/13 12:21 PM
Well, the Vikings put up a good fight, but without the starting quarterback had NO chance.
Also, Green Bay was at full strength.
The Vikings had a decent year compared to the last few.
Now, I will cheer on the Cheese heads to go all the way.
It should be an entertaining playoff season by the looks of things.
Remember when cheering on your team...Party SAFE!

minnesota sports: Baseball Opening Day. New fans! - 03/31/11 01:48 PM
WE went to the Minnesota Twins pre season fest.
WE had a great time and met many of the players, old and new.
But the greatest thing to see was the NEW twins fans...
These young fans love T.C., the Twins Mascot.  It was fun to listen to these young ones talk baseball.  Many of these kids are very well informed.
It is good to see our National Sport still popular with the kids. That is where it all starts!

minnesota sports: Will the Vikings get their BUTT handed to them? - 12/20/10 10:00 AM
I am not sure what station the Vikings will be on, but it should be a fun game.   It is snow like a banshee and looks like the last chigago home game.
The Metrodome roof caved in and so the Vikes had to move to Minnesota Gophers new stadium with less seats than their are season ticket holders. ( This should be interesting)
At this point, it really does not matter who wins...the fun part is watching the play football, School Yard style.
When I was in school, football was played in the snow.  We could takle and the snow kept … (14 comments)

minnesota sports: The Minnesota Twins and the new Target Field - 09/07/10 10:09 AM
This past weekend I was able to take in a Baseball game with some family.  It was my first trip to the New Target field, What many are calling one of the top 3 nicest Baseball parks for fans and players alike.
Out in center field, there was a home run contest.  This feature local celebs batting against the Twins Mascot.  The mascot won! Even while wearing the bulky costume!
After watching many games inside the Metro Home, being outside and away from many of the problems that the Dome had, was a real treat.

minnesota sports: Fishing for Game fish in Minnesota is closed. Now What? - 03/02/10 08:56 AM
Fishing for Walleyes and Northerns is done.  It will be 2 1/2 months before the re-opening.  Minnesota closes the season on gamefish to allow an unintruded spawn.
SO, NOW WHAT is a fisherman to do? Well here is a list of things that need to be done before May 15th opener.
1. GET THE HONEY DO LIST OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!!!!!  How can we concentrate with that list hanging over our heads!  LOL
2. Once the list is done, (I know it keeps getting added to) Strip all the line off of the reels.  The line is the cheapest thing … (7 comments)

minnesota sports: Those Funny looking houses in Minnesota need to be moved, and soon. - 02/22/10 05:27 AM
We are fast approaching the end of another, Ice Fishing season.  Game fish season closes at 12:00 AM on the 1st of March.
At the same time, regulations say that these great looking places need to be off the ice also.  The southern 2/3rds of the state is controlled by this regulation.  If you live in the northern part of the state, you get a couple of more weeks.
Not sure where you sit, check out the DNR site for exact locations.

minnesota sports: The "Wish" Catologs are here! - 02/10/10 08:43 AM
Now, I call them "Wish" catalogs, others call them fishing magazines.  Well, magazines they are not.  Imagine a Sears and Robuck catalog coming to your door for the Christmas season.  WELL, that is what this is like for me.
I get about 10-12 different ones.  Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain just to name a few.  I am now wishing we had gotten the 3+ feet of snow.  I would be siting in my favorite chair, post it notes and pen in hand marking what I am wishing I could ad to my arsenal.
Now, this "Wish" catalog idea is not just … (5 comments)

minnesota sports: WE are licking our wounds...Minnesota Twins Drop 2 in a row! - 10/09/09 02:41 PM
We are down 2 games to NONE.  It's not that we aren't playing good ball, it's the Yankees are playing just a bit better.   Twins have out hit the Yankees in both games, but it's the runs across the plate that counts.
Sunday's game is a must win!!!   One game at a time.

GO TWINS!!!!
