So you want to receive great customer service. Well there is one thing you need to do. We have all seen the person that has yelled at the person they are asking help from.
So here it is... 1. smile 2. nicely explain your situation. 3. be patient 4. DON'T YELL 5. Remember the store has policies. (policies that can be stretched especially by supervisors AT TIMES). 6. Treat these people the way that you really want to be treated...ie; Don't yell and swear at them if you don't want to be treated that way.
Remember, these people have rules the company have made and they need to follow them. Put yourself in their shoes... … (10 comments)
north branch minnesota: The Green Giant.

On a recent road trip we stopped in Blue Earth, Mn. Green Giant still grows and packages their Peas and Corn. The statue we erected as a tribute to the company by the businesses of the town. Besides the statue, they give tours of the plant also. Although we were there on an off day, we have heard that this tour is well worth taking. If you get the chance, stop by. The Statue is right behind the Dairy Queen right on the main road (169). It is on the south side of town. Well worth the hour or so.

I heard many of the stories of my parents who had to walk to school. The old country school was over a mile away and if you believe my dad they NEVER got a ride to or from school. I do remember riding the school bus when gas got high and rationing hit in the early 70's. But in today's world of cheap gas that would be a hard excuse to get passed. So this story is not relevant any more...

January is usually a slower time of the year. This year, people are getting a jump on things. I am running into recently homes with a contingent offer. Multiple offer on one and another where the contingent offer almost got cleared in the allotted time frame. Hunting land is also popular commodity. Actually, North Branch Minnesota is heating up. The market is starting to move much earlier this year than I have seen in some time. It was very slow over the holidays, but even with the cold and snow, North Branch, Minnesota is a destination for new families. WE need listing for the newcomers, so if yo uare looking to sell...NOW is a great time to get on the market. There are some great buys right now in North Branch, Minnesota. There are a lot of people who do not like to move in the winter time. I guess I don't blame them. But, for those who can plan around snowstorms and such...There are some great buys. That is right...North Branch Minnesota is under a heat wave. WE broke the freezing point today and will again 6 of the next 7 days. The water is starting to runand it won't be long before there won't be any empty ponds to hold it all. With from 2-4+ feet on the ground, (depending on where you measure) we are hoping for a slow melt. That is what we will have this week. But for now it is back to T-Shirt only when splitting wood.

North Branch Minnesota isn't a tiny community, but it isn't large either. You can walk down the street or in it's Mom and Pop stores and see people you know who love to stop and talk. Ok, I did forget to say that this is a Senior thing. Most Insurance companies will give Seniors 10% off their car insurance, In Minnesota anyway, for taking a 55 and Alive class. Tomorrow at the Senior Center in North Branch you can take the first part of the course or the 4 hour refresher. I am not going to burden you with all kinds of information. The writing IS on the wall. Interest Rates are at an all time low. Most renters can purchase a home for about half of what they are paying for rent. Homes prices are at levels that are unlikely to be seen again! If you are sitting on the fence...then you need to think about keeping up with the Jones's!!! It will not happen over night. It may not happen in 2-3 years, but values of homes are going to go up.
