humor: Maybe You Should THINK Before Being Polite - 02/22/09 11:49 AM

This past week I got a chuckle out of overhearing some conversations. I am glad people try to be polite and strike up a conversation, but some people just don't think about what they say. Just maybe, not speaking would be better. How about throwing out a nice smile instead of inserting your foot in your mouth all the way up to your knee? Of course, most people don't even have a clue that what they said isn't a good way to be polite.

I heard this on the radio this morning and thought is was funny. Maybe some of my Philly friends can elaborate since I'm a Jersey boy ...
"How do you know where you are in Philly?" Well it all depends on where the "yo's" are. It can be ... "Yo, where ya' been?" or "Where ya been, yo?" or if you are across the river in Cherry Hill it would be "Oy, where ya been?"

humor: It's Funny - 15 years later! - 10/27/08 03:37 PM

What can be better then joining two things like humor and kids? One of my most cherished moments is joking around with my kids. Although my 4-year old doesn't get most of them yet, I LOVE joking with my 9-year-old. ESPECIALLY when she figures out the punch-line like 3 days later. Or even months later. THAT is funny!
Here is one of those jokes my parents said all the time ...
"Cantalope tonight ... pops got the car"
