south carolina: HURRAY!!!...to my best friend - 11/09/08 12:50 AM
in Orlando Florida. Tomorrow is the last of her 35 radiation treatments for breast cancer. I speak with her every day (long distance...for almost 4 years now since I moved away) even if we speak for only 5 minutes. I can't believe she has been such a trooper through all this. She has kept the best of spirit in her mind and her actions. I'm certain her faith in God has pulled her through this also. The nurses and the patients that are regulars at her treatment time actually look forward to and enjoy seeing her every day and are very sad to see her completing her treatments. … (5 comments)

Especially when your celebrating your Birthday with a bunch of your old friends and (long time) colleagues. A wonderful was had by all on Saturday evening. Actually, celebrating was a bit early but I just hate to travel  the roads on Halloween!!! YUK YUK!!! The weather was great but then it started to cool down the day I left for home (SC). Seems like its pretty cool all over the Eastern US right about now. But no matter what the weather, it's always good to take a couple days R&R. No I did not get a chance to see MICKEY this trip. south carolina: FROST WAS ON THE "OLD PUMPKIN" THIS MORNING!!! - 10/20/08 07:57 PM
Brrrrrrrrr,
Even in South Carolina it gets chilly (and even COLDER in the winter) in the Fall. This morning our themometer read a chilly 37 degrees AND there was frost on several of my plants and lawn. SORRY, I HONESTLY DIDN'T HAVE A PUMPKIN OUTSIDE, JUST A FAKE ONE INSIDE). Saw several cars that were frost covered also on the drive into town. Granted I live in the suburbs and temps were warming up by the time I got there. This born Yankee is STILL getting used to the weather here, after living in Florida for 19 years. Will I ever get used to it???
