This is why I have no tomatoes this year. Everytime I went outside to harvest my crop, there would be just one bite out of each tomatoe gone, rendering them useless! So I waited and waited and finally I had the proof of who the culpert was. Is she around?

THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO VERA FREEMAN! This information was taken from John Sherwood;" Maryland Vanishing Lives". Maryland has many unique restaurants that reflect the personalities, tastes, and idiosyncracies of their owners. But Vera's White Sands Marina and Restaurant in Lusby continued to survive in the boonies because of the owner's determination to keep it alive, even if it wasn't all that profitable. The St.Mary's County Fair Association presents its 63rd annual celebration of St. Mary's rural life and heritage. This will take place September 24th thru the 27th at the County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown. http://www.co.saint-marys.md.us Exhibits include livestock, home arts, farm and garden, arts and crafts, 4-H deprtments and more. I thought I was reading an advertisement for a day spa for me, Oh well, it's not for humans ,it's for our adorable 4 legged friends. Yes, they have Pet Massage and Facials, Peticures and Toe Nail Paintings ....variety of colors to choose from, a Certified Pet Stylist, you wouldn't want your friend not to have the latest look. All of these wonderful services are available at Cheapeake Pet Resort and Day Spa. I do think I will call and ask for an appointment for me, just in case they have expanded their services to humans. The Amish Market in St. Mary's County is the North St. Mary's County Farmers Market and is located at the corner of route 5S and route 6 in the parking lot of the Charlotte Hall Library. The market is one way the Amish sell their produce, flowers, baked and canned goods. The market contributs their success of the states Buy Local campaign. In season on an average Saturday the Amish Market ususally has about 500 visitors. THE GREAT BLUE HERON-NANJEMOY CREEK-CHARLES COUNTY-SOUTHERN MARYLAND - 08/02/09 08:17 AM
Blue Heron's Preserve at Nanjemoy Creek was established in 1978 and has to date more than 3,000 acres surrounding the Creek. It is said to be one of the East Coast largest Preserves. The Blue Heron Preserve's rookery used to have upwards of 2,000 pairs of nesting birds. Now the rookery consists of 12 pairs of birds. Blue Heron's prefer Virginia pines, due to the natural cycle and Hurricane Isabel, it will be 20 to 30 years before the trees regenerate and the large number of birds to return.
