Congratulations to my buyer who closed at the end of May on the purchase of a home in Norwood MA.  
 
This buyer was one of the most thorough buyers I have ever worked with.  He researched towns, neighborhoods, types of homes and in particular the kind of home he needed for his particular needs, well before he contacted me.  He had ruled out a number of homes and neighborhoods before we even started looking together.  He'd visit neighborhoods, talk to neighbors and drive around to make sure it was a place he wanted to live.  
 
We focused on Norwood MA because of its proximity to the commuter rail, low tax rate and overall reputation as a town.  Norwood has seen the same low inventory as many other towns and bidding wars have been common this season in Norwood.  
 
After losing out on a couple of homes, we were lucky to find this gem of a house in the desired Westover neighborhood that had been overlooked by other buyers.

With refinished hardwood floors, fresh paint and updated heating and cooling system, this very well-maintained home had been passed over - possibly due to its slightly outdated kitchen and bathrooms.  They were not brand new but they were not original either and were actually in very good shape.  The home also has a great yard, mature landscaping, garage, air conditioning and a huge storage shed.
 
With other buyers overlooking this house, we were able to get this home listed at $400,000 for $385,000.00.
