I Am Tired of Talking About The Weather But You Have To See This! Stayton Oregon It's a big topic in Oregon as record setting temperatures are the talk of the town. Cooling centers have been opened at both the Stayton Library, 515 First St and the Stayton Community Center, 400 W. Virginia Street. They will be open again tomorrow. Folks are being asked to check on their neighbors and relatives, especially those with special needs and the elderly. Take It To The Limit - Clam Digging on the Oregon Coast One of my first and favorite vacations was spent digging razor clams with my grandparents when I was five years old. I remember the shells and all the fun we had as a family at the beach. Today, I still love the beach. My girls love it as much as I do and we spend a few weekends a year, during minus tides at the bay digging for horseneck (gaper clam) and picking up cockles.

Hurray for the House for defeating the bill to delay the digital Television switchover. It is still on track for the switch on February 17, 2009. I think the media did a great job getting the news to consumers that this transition was coming. Consumers had plenty of time to order a voucher coupon for the digital TV converter boxes.
