Folks are being asked to check on their neighbors and relatives, especially those with special needs and the elderly. We have a large time and temperature sign at our Prudential office and it was reporting this record breaking temperature! Just (5 comments)

Take It To The Limit - Clam Digging on the Oregon Coast One of my first and favorite vacations was spent digging razor clams with my grandparents when I was five years old. I remember the shells and all the fun we had as a family at the beach. Today, I still love the beach. My girls love it as much as I do and we spend a few weekends a year, during minus tides at the bay digging for horseneck (gaper clam) and picking up cockles.
The early low tide is usually best and we can be out on (5 comments)

Pyromania Glass, Newport Oregon - A Global Treat For The Eyes One of my favorite childhood toys was a kaleidoscope. One step through the door of this Newport, Oregon studio and you will feel like you are inside a life sized version of a kaleidoscope. Surrounded by a remarkable variety of melding and shiny colors, every where you turn there is something wonderful to see. The shop carries a variety of plates, bowls, vases, lamps, jewelry and of course their stunning glass floats.
Next to finding an full sand dollar, every beachcomber dreams of finding a glass float on (3 comments)

Hurray for the House for defeating the bill to delay the digital Television switchover. It is still on track for the switch on February 17, 2009. I think the media did a great job getting the news to consumers that this transition was coming. Consumers had plenty of time to order a voucher coupon for the digital TV converter boxes.
"Bucking the Obama administration, House Republicans on Wednesday defeated a bill to postpone the upcoming transition from analog to digital television broadcasting to June 12 - leaving (7 comments)

brendaandsandy: Who Is The Most Important Person In The World - 11/06/08 12:35 PM
Who Is The Most Important Person In The World? I joined Facebook this spring and hooked up with an old friend from High School. Bobby belonged to a large, very talented musical family. He eventually married another good friend and moved away Branson, Missouri to advance his dream of a career in music.
As read through his profile I was surprised by one verse in his favorite quotes. It stated simply; "Who is the most important person in the world?" It was followed by a brief explanation about the statement. It was a lesson from his father. "My dad asked me once,"who's (5 comments)
