I Am Tired of Talking About The Weather But You Have To See This! Stayton Oregon It's a big topic in Oregon as record setting temperatures are the talk of the town. Cooling centers have been opened at both the Stayton Library, 515 First St and the Stayton Community Center, 400 W. Virginia Street. They will be open again tomorrow. Folks are being asked to check on their neighbors and relatives, especially those with special needs and the elderly. We have a large time and temperature sign at our Prudential office and it was reporting this record breaking temperature! Just (5 comments)

Take It To The Limit - Clam Digging on the Oregon Coast One of my first and favorite vacations was spent digging razor clams with my grandparents when I was five years old. I remember the shells and all the fun we had as a family at the beach. Today, I still love the beach. My girls love it as much as I do and we spend a few weekends a year, during minus tides at the bay digging for horseneck (gaper clam) and picking up cockles.
The early low tide is usually best and we can be out on (5 comments)

This MeMe is a little different and here is my contribution to the puddlemakers in the Rain. The Unmistakable Touch of Grace "The support I received from these men and women allowed me to begin straightening out my crooked life. I began to believe I had choices. I began to believe I could change. Today, after spending many years traveling around the country speaking to thousands of people about their lives, I've learned that our deepest need as human beings is to be seen and heard. We want to know that we matter." So, on to the meme instructions; (7 comments)

leslie stewart: Who Is The Most Important Person In The World - 11/06/08 12:35 PM
Who Is The Most Important Person In The World? I joined Facebook this spring and hooked up with an old friend from High School. Bobby belonged to a large, very talented musical family. He eventually married another good friend and moved away Branson, Missouri to advance his dream of a career in music.
As read through his profile I was surprised by one verse in his favorite quotes. It stated simply; "Who is the most important person in the world?" It was followed by a brief explanation about the statement. It was a lesson from his father. "My dad asked me once,"who's (5 comments)

leslie stewart: Packsaddle Park on the North Santiam River - 10/28/08 09:35 PM
Packsaddle Park is popular with local fisherman as a place to launch driftboats and kayaks. Located in Marion County just a few miles East of Gates, Packsaddle offers the last Eastern place to launch a boat before the ODFW fish ladders. Launching your boat from here is not advised if you are a novice on the Santiam River. Knowledge and skill are needed to navigate through the Lyon Hole above the Maples Rest Area or Spencer's hole between Gates and Mill City. Other launch sites are located at Kimmel Park, Mill City Bridge, Fisherman's Bend, North Santiam State Park, John Neal (3 comments)
leslie stewart: Why I Love My Real Estate Profession - 10/27/08 10:39 PM
Why I Love My Real Estate Profession Thanks for the tag, Margaret Oscilia. My real estate career began in the early ‘90's. I was mom to two daughter's 5 1/2 and a one year old. I was coming from a floral design background and I loved working on weddings. The rural community in where I live was in a horrible decline of timber sales. Our town was timber dependent and my job was eliminated. I loved working with customers and knew I wanted my new career to be people oriented. I first thought I could be an interior designer but that was really hard to break into. So (9 comments)
