How long it takes for a home to sell in Des Moines can vary from month to month  based on many factors, including interest rates, the amount of inventory in the market and sometimes even weather.
The start of 2007 brought anxious Des Moines home sellers some of the longest marketing times in over two years. The longest selling times of the year came in March, reaching a high of 13.7 weeks.
