US News and World reports hase just dropped its list of Americas top 25 schools.
What a Blessing to see that one of Raleigh's own is on this list. One a List dominated by CA, TX, and NY schools, Two in NC made the grade to get into the Top 25. This really shows why Raleigh Charter is so sought after with in the area.

This should be an Easy one...Right?
But I just got off the phone with the NC Real Estate Commission, and the answer met my expectations, but with a Little Twist.
1) You have to be 18 Years old to Sign a Legally Binding Contract.
2) But you can be as old as you want, to actualy Buy a home...... from 0+. If you have got the cash, you can leagally own real property in NC.

Wake county in 2008 raised the Property Values on their residents home, but they also lowered the Tax Rates across the County and many of the Cities also lowered their Tax Rates as well. This in effect lowered the Wake County Residents Tax Liability on almost everyones home. Here are the 2008 Tax rates. The 2009 Rates will not be out until late spring, early summer. If you look below, you can see the change from 2007 to 2008. The rates are based on the cost per $100 in Value.

Well, there is good news. It has finally snowed in Raleigh, NC and the surround areas. After 8 years of no real snow and only ice storms, we finally get a nice 6" dumping of fluffy white snow. The last time was in 2000 when we got 20"+ overnight. This was a mess, but now it is only 6" and it is Great!! You can still get around and play in.

Calling All Sellers: This ain't the Stock Market (Sell High and Buy Low). No this is the Housing Market. Stop Making the Compairisons. In the Housing Market you typically have two options (Forclosures and Distress Sales excluded).
1) SELL HIGH, then you have to BUY HIGH. If you are in a market that is taking off and hot, Then you are in a Sellers Market. If you go to sell your home, you will SELL HIGH. Likely if you are selling then you are going to Buy. If you are Buying in a Hot Market you are going to BUY HIGH!!

I wanted to take a minute to feature a little know Bait and Tackle Shop in Southern Wake County. This little shop is a family owned and opperated shop that has served this community for over 60 years. It is a little shop on Hwy 42 just south west of the Hwy 50 intersection in Wake County between the Cleaveland Community and Willow Springs, NC and Fuquay Varina, NC.

raleigh nc: Newest Addition to the Raleigh, NC Skyline - 09/10/08 12:04 AM
The new RBC Building has opened in Downtown Raleigh, NC. It is not totaly ready, but the exterior is ready and many of the office suites are ready. It is a beautiful addition to the sky line and is now Raleigh's tallest building. These pictures were take from the Capital City Club (www.CapitalRaleigh.com) in Raleigh at the Top of the Progress Energy Tower just across the street. The top floors are all residential suites Called the Plaza Condominiums. They are sold out, but there are a few residential units still available through assignments. My Wife and I enjoyed the music of OneRepublic and John Mayer last night in Raleigh, NC at the Time Warner Walnut Creek Ampitheatre. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! One of the last songs for the Encore was John's Song, "Say What You Need to Say". i have posted the words below as well.

I think as Realtors, it is our responsibiltiy to give back to our community. If you look at from the out side in, the community give us our business.
Here are some ideas that I have done for my community to give back. I also welcome your feedback to give me additional ideas to give back as well.

I hope you are all doing well. I live in the small or near the small towns of Fuquay Varina, NC and Holly Springs, NC. These towns are with-in minutes of Raleigh, NC.
The reason I love these smaller towns are the festivals and downtown activities they provide for their residents. Recently I sponosored a local Clown and Facepainting Aritist for the entire Town of Fuquay Varina at the local arts fesitval.

I hope you are all doing well. I had a Closing about a month ago. It was tough closing and a long process getting this client qualified. He kept telling me that if I got him in a home, that he was going to give me a kiss. I was a little worried because this guy is 6'6 and well over 350 pounds.
