Here we are in the Fall Market, Sales during the month of September have shown their typical rebound from July and August indicating a resurgents in the seasonal sales market. While sales are up from the summer which is expected, sales are also up from the 2009 statistics. The kids that attend these schools are absolutely amazing, not only do they contribute to the community by erasing graphitti off community fences as Bert Church High School students did this past year but they also consider the impact of poverty and disaster world wide. After much battling and posturing by Airdrie Alberta's west side residents, Airdrie's city council voted 3-2 in favour of the re-designation of 2.37 acres of land beside Monklands Soccer Park Monday from P-1 to R-4 allowing the construction of Townhouse and Apartment style condominiums. (Check out Video Below) Airdrie Olympic Torch Relay, was a wonderful event to attend. We were fortunate to have a nice mild night about -2 Celsius for the event, and it seemed like a very large portion of Airdrie residents were out to see the Torch pass and be passed. We started our wait for the Torch at East Lake Blvd. and Thorburn drive and slowly moved down toward Genesis Place where the Festivities began at 5 pm with local Alberta Country Singer Corb Lund.
