Apache Junction in Planning Stages to Redevelop the Downtown Area

Apache Junction is working on plans to redevelop the downtown area. They are seeking grant money and if the grant is approved it could take up to a year to plan. The focus will be on residential, office, commercial, entertainment, institiutional and recreational uses.

One article focuses on the Top 6 Areas to find real estate bargains. It states that Arizona ranks 2nd in the nation for atrracting retirees. Other cities where you can find real estate bargains include Miami, Las Vegas, Denver, San Diego, and Tampa.

July 15th 2008 --- Loop 202 Final Segment to Open

On July 15th, 2008 the Arizona Department of Transporation (ADOT) will be celebrating the final completion of the Loop 202/Red Mountain Freeway. This final segments are between Broadway Rd and University Dr and University Dr between Power Rd. Exits will include Brown, McKellips, and McDowell Rd.

A celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2008 from 5pm to 8pm on the 5 mile stetch of the freeway between Power Rd and University Dr. Events include an opening ceremony, a ribbon cutting, Fun Run/Bike Ride, and a Road Show. Parking entrance at Mcdowell Rd and Loop 202. Members of the Community are Invited to Attend.
