As a former educator and years of telling students that "knowledge is power" I feel that I must practicce what I have preached. I also think that in a down market there is no better time to expand ones knowledge. The biggest decision should be what to concentrate on. I think this is going tro be different for different folks. Personally I am working on 2 fronts,getting involved in local groups and working on increasing my knowledge of commercial real estate. Getting involved with local groups has been a dual reward for me as Iam a jazz singer I chose to get involved with local cultural orgainizations, so not only am I getting gigs but finding new clients. The commercial piece is more costly but I believe will lead to big rewards. This whole blog thing is also new to me and this is my first blog. Actually I like it so far it isn't so far off from standing in front of a group of students and sharing some of my knowledge and expertise.
