Disregard all the hoopla you are hearing and reading about a free fall for single family home prices in Palm Beach Gardens and throughout Palm Beach County.
The facts gleaned from statistics released by the Florida Association of Realtors show that the median home price in Palm Beach County has decline just 6% from January through August 2008.  Median means that half of the homes sold for more and half sold for less.

Mortgage interest rates have begun to decline in Palm Beach Gardens and throughout the country as the market reacts to the federal government's takeover of financial giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
The average 30 year fixed mortgage nationwide is 6.06 percent, a decline of nearly 10 percent from last week's average of 6.39 percent, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
