I have myself to blame for being a risk taker. I didn't get a flu shot this year. I've never had one - I am a baby when it comes to needles. Luckily, I rarely get the flu. So, I am making up for it this year. I am just getting over a second bout with the flu - the first time was at the end of November. That time it lasted 3 weeks with residuals. This weekend we decided to hop on a train from Poughkeepsie and visit the Big Apple for the day. As always, NY City was spectacular at Christmas time and we especially appreciated the unseasonably warm day. I enjoyed the window displays at Macy's on 34th Street, and Saks in Mid-Town. Little Italy was especially festive and also very deliciouso! At the end of the day, we took in a peaceful and quiet moment inside St. Patrick's cathedral - what a beautiful manger scene. But I have to say, the tree in Rockefeller Center this year is by far the best one I have seen! ....Proximity to NY City … (0 comments)
