edisto island sc real estate: Edisto Beach Real Estate-Obama'a Paying you to Short Sale your Home
- 03/17/10 01:28 PM
...I was reading a blog from another agent and she was slightly confused or uniformed about short sales. Help is on the way with the new HAFA program. The Gov't is encouraging homeowners who do not quailify for refinancing or loan modifications to short sale their home. As a matter of fact, they will even pay you some moving expense cash and pay the bank servicer to help cover the admistrative cost. Howver, this must be your primary residence, the mortgage not over $729,750, you must be behind on your payments(can't just dump the house because your house is underwater), and (0 comments)

INFO THAT HITS US WHERE WE LIVE New home sales fell 11.2% in January to a record low level. Existing home sales weren't very pretty either, down 7.2%, though they're UP 11.5% over a year ago. Let's remember that last Fall we all thought the tax credit was going away at the end of November. Many sales got pushed into October and November, causing sales drops the next two months. But the median new home price is down just 2.4% year over year and the average price is now UP 3.7%. For an existing home, the median price is unchanged from a (0 comments)
…So you don’t think you need a home inspection. I hear this all the time. Most guys will tell me that… “I am a handy man…I will save the money and inspect it myself.” I always tell my clients to get a licensed home inspector. These professionals have been trained to inspect and look for problems that a lay person may miss. Pay the money-and get a little of piece of mind. After all-your home is usually your largest investment. I have some real life photos taken from home inspections. No (0 comments)
edisto island sc real estate: Edisto Beach Real Estate-Have you seen Dear John?
- 02/27/10 02:22 PM
Currently, South Carolina is enjoying an unusual level of international exposure, as the feature film “Dear John” has debuted in first place at Box Office. Viewers readily recognize beloved locations like Edisto Island, Folly Beach, Sullivan’s Island and Charleston. Not only is the film a beautiful picture postcard of coastal South Carolina – it also flexes its most important muscle for location filmmaking – its ability to double for exotic locations ranging from Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, and the Congo. It is important to note that “Dear John” is the second movie based on a Nicholas Spark’s novel to be filmed in South Carolina. (0 comments)
….So you have made it to the Big Bridge…only just a few miles to go to get to Edisto. That’s what our parents would say when we were children… The ride to the Beach seemed like an all day ride. But we knew, once we got to the Big Bridge that we were almost to Edisto. Back then the Bridge was called the Dawhoo Bridge. It was a swing bridge that was built in 1954. It (1 comments)

…it was a wet and soggy day on Edisto. But as always, nature always reveals a Wow! I was so dreading putting out For Sale signs in the rain today. I was heading to this marshside property on Turtle Point Lane that I just recently listed off of Jenkins Hill road. The road was muddy and it still was misting rain…when all of a sudden I saw about 30 Turkeys grazing in the field. I stopped and clicked a few shots. They didn’t seem to mind me and I stayed a while (1 comments)

Finally the Lowcountry gets a decent snow. Most areas west of the Hwy 17 received 5 to 6 inches plus and East of Hwy 17 received a light dusting. Yes it’s a big deal for us. It seems like we only get a “Real” snow about once every 20 years. The last major snow for the Lowcountry was way back in 1989. That’s the same year that Hurricane Hugo blew threw our coast and it was our first Christmas snow in a hundred years. In 1973, we still refer that one (1 comments)
