AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM GOLF TOURNEMENT - FEBRUARY 5 - 11, 2007

This is the week of the AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournement in Pebble Beach.  These pictures

were taken on the Pebble Beach Golf course on February 6, 2007.  The setting is spectacular

 from the brilliant green color of the greens, to the numerous shades of blue as one looks 

over the golf course to the ocean and the sky beyond. Fans are only allowed to

 take pictures during the practice rounds.  During the tournement on the

 weekend, only professional photographers can take their cameras to the course.  Everything is

 all set up for the crowds of thousands that are expected here this weekend. 

 The greens are in top condition and all the facilities are in place to accomodate

 pros, celebrities and fans.

The 18th hole is directly in front of the Pebble Beach Lodge.  As we stood near there yesterday,

a pro came along wearing a pale blue sweater.  It was Mike Weir from Canada, apparently

having a pretty good day.

The atmosphere was quiet for the practice rounds.  That is what makes the early

part of the week the best time to go over there and walk around.

After Weir finished his round, he was interviewed by the press. Later in the afternoon,

 clouds seemed to be moving in.  Rain has been predicted

for the next three days, and maybe into the weekend. 

 I'm not sure how that will affect tournement events.

As we left the course, this local resident was unconcerned about the

tournement, but was busy searching for his dinner.
