In the current real estate market and for years to come home owners may find them selves in a situation where there mortgage payment is too high.  When a loan modification or a short sale is the only answer there is a great deal of paperwork required to apply for these options.  The requested documents may appear familier since most is also required when applying for a mortgage loan to purchase a home.  This is logical since a bank/lender wants to make sure a home owner can not afford their payment before approving a short sale. loan modification, or deed in Lieu of Foreclosure (few banks accept these)

Vienna and McLean are like any other area in Northern VA and not immune to the many short sale homes that are available for buyers. In 2007 I listed and sold my first short sale in a time when few understood the beginnings of the collapse of the real estate market.
