One of the amazing opportunities living in the United States of America affords us is the U.S. Parks Services. In Northern Virginia one of my favorite places to visit is the Great Falls Park just outside of the 495 beltway and a few miles from Tysons Corner. I just returned a few hours ago from a visit to the Park I enjoyed with my family and my friends and their children. This is forever in the fast moving no stop world of blogging, but it was required for the benefit of my clients. Those of us who live and work in Northern Virginia know how bad the traffic can get at any time during the day especially at rush hour. What does traffic have to do with tax you ask? The Virginia General Assembly agreed on a new transportation plan back in March of 2007 that will cost approximately $400 million dollars. This plan will be paid by an increase in taxes and fees that includes a dramatic increase in the grantors tax on real estate.

The hustle and bustle of crowds in the mall, the parade, more shopping, holiday parties, in-laws in town, and the list goes on and on of things to do this time of year. These are the things that happen around the holidays that keep buyers from shopping for their next house.
